POLITICAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Political photography has a vision and a story to tell. A lot of these photographs are taken where the person grew up, where they learned, where they serve, where they build, and where their families live. Political photography showcases strength, optimism, and the potential for so much more.

FOUR THINGS TO PLAN WHEN BOOKING YOUR POLITICAL PHOTOSHOOT:

  1. Ironed and clean-pressed clothes. This is important for any shoot but critical for this specific style.

  2. Group shots always need you in center focus, so no distracting patterns, colors, or accessories from your supporting team.

  3. Consider what story each of your chosen locations will help you tell and prioritize the most important locations first.

  4. Share your vision and shot list with your photographer. Your photographer will guide you throughout the entire process, and do not be shy if you have a specific list of photos you’d like to make sure they capture with your family or with your group shots.
